Zapier + 5,000 integrations means you connect to whatever outreach/scheduling/messaging stack you already run, not the 12 tools the vendor pre-approved.

The surprisingly-good part: the client portal. You send a shortlist; the hiring manager rates candidates in-app without logging into your ATS. That one workflow removes a 20-email thread per role. Most competitors have this as "coming soon" or enterprise-tier.

First 10 minutes: Clean onboarding wizard. By minute 4 you're importing your first CSV. Parse accuracy is ~85% on standard resumes, ~60% on non-English or design-heavy PDFs. budget post-import cleanup.

Where it feels smooth: Adding a candidate from LinkedIn via the Chrome extension (2 clicks, no tab switch). Moving a candidate through pipeline stages (drag-drop that works first try). Launching a sequence (dead simple. picks up where Gem stopped bothering to simplify).
