SourcrLab

Our Methodology

SourcrLab is an independent comparison platform for recruiting tools. Here's how we research, evaluate, and organize our data.

How We Collect Data

We gather information exclusively from publicly available sources:

  • Vendor websites official product pages, pricing pages, and documentation.
  • Public review platforms aggregated ratings from Google, G2, Capterra, and similar review sites.
  • Structured research feature comparisons, integration catalogues, and publicly shared case studies.

We do not scrape or mirror vendor content. All text on SourcrLab is independently written.

How We Process Data

Every piece of information goes through editorial processing before it appears on the platform:

  • Descriptions are rewritten in our own voice. Never copied from vendor marketing.
  • Features and capabilities are analysed and presented in a standardised format for easy comparison.
  • Pricing, free-plan availability, and integrations are structured so you can filter and compare quickly.

How We Evaluate Tools

When presenting and comparing tools, we consider the following criteria:

Use case fit

Does the tool solve a clear problem for recruiters?

Pricing transparency

Is pricing publicly available and straightforward?

Ease of use

How quickly can a recruiter get started?

Integrations

Does it connect to common ATS, CRM, and HR systems?

Recruiter relevance

Is this built for recruiting, or adapted from another domain?

Public reputation

What do aggregated reviews and ratings indicate?

How Rankings Work

Tool order on category pages is a weighted composite score on a 0-10 scale: User Ratings 25% (aggregated from G2, Capterra, and TrustRadius, weighted by review volume), Feature Depth 20% (core category features, integrations, and API availability), Pricing & Value 20% (cost per user, free tier quality, and total cost of ownership at scale), Ease of Use 15% (setup time, learning curve, and daily workflow friction), Scalability 10% (performance at 10 users vs 500, whether pricing and UX hold up), Recruiter Fit 10% (how well it matches the specific audience: agency, startup, enterprise, in-house). Scores are clamped at 9.5. No product is ever a 10/10 in live production use. For tools our team has used firsthand, an editor-pinned rating can override the formula. Rankings are never influenced by payments, sponsorships, or advertising.

Vendors cannot pay for a higher ranking. Featured or highlighted tools are selected by our editorial team based on the criteria above. Not sponsorship.

Affiliate Transparency

Some links on SourcrLab are affiliate links. This means we may earn a commission if you sign up for a tool through our link. At no extra cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not affect our rankings, ratings, or editorial content. Many tools on our platform have no affiliate programme at all, and they receive the same treatment in our evaluations.

Accuracy & Updates

We do our best to keep information accurate and up to date, but the recruitment technology market moves fast. Pricing, features, and availability can change without notice.

We recommend always verifying details on the official vendor website before making a purchasing decision. If you spot an error, please contact us and we will correct it promptly.
